About our cast!
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF ROCKY HORROR!
"Happy to be Here Club" was established in May of 2023 by a group of dedicated performers and Rocky Horror die hard fans, to create what is known across the world as a Rocky Horror shadow-cast; a long honored tradition of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". Shadow-casts were originally formed in 1976 and created a second life for the film with midnight screenings in historic theatres by local outcasts looking for a place to safely express themselves, and carve out spaces of resistance and love in an era of repression against the LGBTQIA+ community.
Located in the city of La Habra, at the historic "The Phantom Projects Theatre at La Habra Depot". H2BH has established itself as a community staple, living and breathing the 48 year old shadow-cast tradition.
The club and its members have also made appearances at various local LGBTQIA+ community events and have had the tremendous privilege of joining Barry Bostwick- the original Brad Majors, Patricia Quinn- The Original Magenta, and Little Nell- The original Columbia, for "The Rocky Anniversary Spectacular Tour" that takes place every October season.
The interactive goal of a shadow-cast is immersion through performer interaction with the audience and through audience participation; which can be done through the use of call-backs, available on the RHPS Wiki, and through use of prop bags- sold upon entry to the theatre.
